Youth Development

Our goals for youth development at the Grundy Family YMCA is to provide youth with a positive and supportive environment to develop skills, build confidence and to make sure every youth has an enjoyable experience. We apply the YMCA core values such as caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, to reach our goals.

Youth Development Programs

We offer a variety of different youth development programs in the Upper Elementary School. Take a look at our programs below!

  • Before and After School Care: Available for members and program members, we offer our Before and After School Care to keep kids safe, help working families, and improve academic achievement.
  • School’s Out Fun Days: An unexpected day off from school? Don’t worry our School’s Out Fun Day are available for your elementary students during school in-services, early outs, weather cancellations, and most holidays.
  • Summer Camp: Keep kids active and learning this summer at the Y’s Summer Day Camp. Join us for a week or the entire.
  • Child Watch: If you want to attend a fitness class or work out at our fitness center, you can drop your child off at Child Watch at no additional cost.

Youth Sports and Activities

Stay active and try something new by signing up for one of our many sports programs or classes! We believe it is important to get kids mentally and physically active here at the Y and that is why we have created so many different activities.We have a number of different programs and activities including:

  • Young Artists
  • Food Adventures
  • Archery
  • Tai Ji Quan
  • Cheerleading
  • T-ball
  • Flag Football
  • Soccer
  • And so much more!
