Iowa YMCA’s Launch Y is Every Y Program
IOWA YMCAs CELEBRATE GROUNDBREAKING RECRIPROCAL MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
Y members can access most facilities in Iowa for free
YMCAs across Iowa are celebrating the launch of the My Y is Every Y program, a reciprocal membership initiative that enables members to use most YMCAs across Iowa for free.
“Since this program began in 2010, thousands of Y members have taken advantage of what Ys across the United States have to offer. Beginning on September 1, Y’s across Iowa join 32 other states in the US who have statewide or regional membership reciprocity. We’re very excited to offer our members the opportunity to continue to improve their health when they are traveling or if they work in a city different from where they live,” said Jeremy Loria, Senior Membership and Programs Director. “No matter where our members travel across the state, they’ll be able to stay connected to the local community and improve their health and well-being.”
Through “My Y is Every Y”, full facility/full privilege members bring their membership card and photo ID to enjoy access to Ys across Iowa. Benefits of access include use of YMCAs’ pools, wellness facilities and classes.
