ELC UPDATE: 03/19/2020

Dear Early Learning Center Parents & Guardians,

At the Y, we are working on ways to respond to the community needs that will arise from our public health crisis related to COVID-19. It has become clear that the greatest need facing our community, that the Y is equipped to address, is the need for childcare for medical personnel, first responders, and others who will be called on in extraordinary ways in the coming days and weeks (i.e. nursing home employees, etc). 

We are mobilizing to provide care to priority employees in our community. This may impact your child’s enrollment at the Early Learning Center. We are assessing how many current slots we will have available for our current families. We anticipate changes to our current slots as of Monday, March 23, 2020. 

If you have alternate care options, we encourage you to pursue those at this time. If you know you will not use your slot in the coming weeks, we need to know that. If you have an essential position, such as medical, first responder, or other, please let us know so we can include you in our prioritization plans.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US:

• We will provide you with daily updates leading up to Monday so you know what to expect for care on Monday.
