Certifications

We will be holding a Lifeguard Certification class Friday, January 12 – Sunday, January 14. Here are the details:

Dates/Times:
Friday 4:00-8:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
Sunday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM.

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatics emergencies. This includes land & water rescue skills as well as first aid and CPR.

Open to everyone from ages 15 to 99

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 15 years old on or before the last scheduled session of the course
  • Must successfully complete the prerequisite skills evaluation on first day of class: 300 yard swim, tread water for 2 minutes (using legs only), retrieve 10 lb brick from six-feet of water or deeper
  • No refunds for inability to successfully complete prerequisite testing
